As their ongoing creative partner, Alicorn Ink designed, built, and hosts the digital home for Pride Interfaith Knoxville, a growing network of faith communities in Knoxville. At its heart is a custom community platform where members and the public can ask real questions and hear back from faith leaders across many traditions.
Pride Interfaith Knoxville (PIK) is a membership-based network of faith communities and individuals devoted to affirming and supporting Knoxville's LGBTQIA+ community. What began over a decade ago as a single Pride interfaith service has grown into a year-round movement that meets the spiritual, emotional, and communal needs of LGBTQIA+ people across the region.
Their challenge was as emotional as it was strategic: how do you give a movement built on faith, trust, and human connection a home online that feels just as welcoming? The site had to reassure people too often turned away by faith, make a network of faith communities feel unified and strong, and stay safe enough for someone to ask the questions they had never felt able to ask aloud. We were not there to build a website. We were there to extend the movement.
We became PIK's creative partner and started where we always start: with the people the work has to reach.
For the LGBTQIA+ individuals and families at the heart of the mission, we built an experience centered on belonging and safety. Its emotional core lets anyone bring their real questions about faith, sexuality, gender, scripture, and family, anonymously if they need to, and hear back from faith leaders across PIK's member traditions. It makes the movement's promise tangible: there is not one affirming voice waiting for them, but many.
For the organization itself, we focused on strength in numbers and room to grow. We made it effortless to find an affirming community nearby and gave PIK's team real ownership of their platform, so the movement can keep expanding on its own. And because a mission like this is never finished, we stayed on, supporting them with photography, content, and the steady stream of updates a living movement needs.
PIK now has working infrastructure for an interfaith movement: a welcoming front door for LGBTQIA+ people seeking affirming faith, visible proof of how many communities stand together, and a safe, genuinely useful way to engage with faith leaders across traditions.
For PIK, it has become a real tool for advocacy, connection, and growth, deepening the network of care for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families across Knoxville. And the partnership continues: we remain their creative team, invested in the mission and helping the movement widen its reach. It is exactly the kind of long-term, values-driven work we exist to do.
